Boston City Council
We currently have initiated a call for legislation
regarding green roofs in the City Council of Boston,
MA. It is being examined at committee level and
will then be submitted for a public hearing. City
Councilors Rob Consalvo and John Tobin are
working diligently with us on this new initiative.

State of Massachusetts
State Representative Mike Rush is particularly interested in
green roofs as a means to help stabilize our climate. We also
have the support of John Sanchez , Antonio Scaccia and Chair
of the Committee on the Environment, Natural Resources and
Agriculture, Frank Smizik. We are named in the Energy and
Environment Report submitted to Governor Patrick in 01/07.

Earth Our Only Home has recommended the
addition of one point for Green Roofs under a
new rubric called Urban Heat Island Mitigation
of the newly proposed Amendment 37 to the
